UPDATE ON COURSES AT BBTA DURING COVID PANDEMIC

When will Bobath courses restart?

We have received many requests from therapists interested in both hosting and attending courses at Introductory, Basic and Advanced levels and are aware that a number of organisations are very keen to reintroduce training for staff. BBTA are also very keen to do so too but must continue to place the emphasis on safety. The practical nature of all our courses has made it impossible to complete an online course with the same content.

In response to the recent increase in queries BBTA sought clarity on the guidance regarding face to face education from the CSP and have been advised that all CSP members are "..still being urged to be cautious.  Furthermore, where workplace in-service training remains virtual members must consider the implications of their attendance at a face to face course. Similar considerations should be given to mandatory training and where such training is an update you must consider whether it is urgent for patient and staff safety or can you justify delaying at this time."

All at BBTA hope that with further changes to the Covid-19 restrictions over the next few months we will be able to return to teaching the whole range of practical courses. As we move to this next stage BBTA will continue to work with course organisers and venues to ensure safety of all remains the top priority. Meanwhile BBTA tutors are available to answer queries or provide clinical support. Within the new changed environment BBTA tutors are always open to discuss questions and options to suit local requirements and will continue to provide support to queries.
